Michael Ray Murray, 68, of Rector, passed from this world on September 11, 2023, at his home. He was born to Ivan Ray and Bonnie (Adams) Murray in St. Louis, Mo.

Michael was a cowboy all the way through. He spent many hours riding horses and raising them. He had just received his 30-year Buckle at the Cross County Trail ride in Eminence, Mo. He enjoyed a variety of things such as grilling for friends and family and then watching a good football game or a western. He also helped his brother Steve by driving a tractor around his farm.

He was preceded in death by his father: Ivan Murray.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. Interment followed at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Visitation was held from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
