Myrna Lee Walker, 73, of Saint Francis, Ark., passed away April 8, 2023, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born on July 11, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., and was the daughter of Rube and Hester (Bryant) Walker.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rube Walker; mother, Hester Walker; two brothers, Willie Walker and Charles Walker; sister, Dovie Culp; and great-nephew, Matthew Ocedek.
Myrna publicly professed Christ and was baptized at 18 years old in 1967. Throughout her life, she worked at HW Gossard, RBA, and Tri County in Home Services. She loved bird watching and loved watching Cooking with Brenda Gantt videos on Facebook.
Myrna is survived by her two sisters, Myra Lou Walker and Mary Evelyn Wagster; three nephews, David Wagster, Walker Culp, and Stephen Culp; four nieces, Debbie Sue Ocedek, Susan Walker, Trudy Wagster, and Sarah Beth Wagster; four great nephews, Sam Culp, Josh Culp, Justin Wagster, and Christopher Ocedek; three great nieces, Chelsey Hayes, Shana Wagster, and Christa Campbell; special greatgreat nephew, Bentley Hayes; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, with Anthony Dowdy officiating. Burial was in Hall Cemetery in St. Francis. Pallbearers were David Wagster, Justin Wagster, Josh Weidenbenner, Phillip Wagster, Ronnie Cole, and Phil Daffron. Bentley Hayes will serve as Honorary Pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hall and Gravel Hill Cemetery Association or Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
