Nelda Joyce Chadwick, 87, of Rector, passed from this earth on December 13, 2023. Nelda was born to the late Amos (Red John) and Anna (McKeel) Pruett in Knob, Ark. Nelda was a member of the Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member and raised all three of her children knowing about God and his love. She dearly loved her husband whom she was married to for over 66 years, her children and then the precious grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

In her spare time, she loved working jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and making blankets for all the babies. She always had a smile and loved visiting with everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Amos and Anna Pruett; her husband: J.D. Chadwick; three brothers: Gerald Pruett, Laverne Pruett and Wayne Pruett and a son-in-law: Jerry Davenport.

She is survived by her children: Byron (Mitzi) Chadwick of Skiatook, Okla., Gayla Davenport of Cabot, Ark., and Dana (Doyle) Jones of Centerton, Ark.; grandchildren: Brittany Davenport, Brooke (Matt) Caldwell all of Cabot, Logan (Claire) of Pea Ridge, Ark., Morgan (Ethan) Patterson of Benton, Ark., and four bonus grandchildren; great-grandchildren: Silas, Braylee and Adeline Davenport, Aubree and Anna Caldwell, Jett and Andi Jones and four bonus great-grandchildren; her sister: Nita Johnson of Potosi, Mo., with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Irby Funeral Home with Elvis Brandon officiating. Interment was at the Woodland Heights Cemetery.
