An oversized load weighing more than a million pounds made its way through Rector last Wednesday morning and delayed travelers along Highway 49 North as it made its way to Missouri through Marmaduke and Paragould to Highway 412. Sheriff Brad Snyder with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department said the load was an industrial gas cooler. As seen in this photo, traffic came to a complete stop around noon when the truck experienced a mechanical issue just south of Marmaduke delaying the transport for two hours.
