Paula Speer, 63, of Paragould, Ark., passed away January 30, 2023, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

She was born on March 31, 1959, in Paragould, and was the daughter of the late John and Wanda (Cate) Crossfield.

Paula was united in marriage to Jimmie Speer on December 16, 1989.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeremy Lutrell; niece, Chasity Morrow; nephew, Logan Morrow.

Paula is survived by her husband, Jimmie Speer of Paragould; three daughters, Rachel (Matthew Walters) Samples of Paragould, Raye Lynn (Jordan) Magouirk of Piggott, and Danielle (Tony) Magouirk of Bernie, Mo.; son, Collin (Angela) Speer of Gainesville, Ark.; sixteen grandchildren, Shannon, Bo, Bryan, Haylee, Jeremy, Kyson, Kylea, Kyra, Kylan, Ariella, Brentley, Nevaeh, Addilan, Mckinley, Jarrett, and Michael; two greatgrandchildren, Brooklynn and Cameron; three brothers, Gale Crossfield of Paragould, Greg Crossfield of Corning, and Robbie (Amber) Crossfield of Corning; two sisters, Carla (Reo) Morrow of Piggott, and Beth (Kenny) Edington of Corning; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott with Cliff Crossfield and Ernie Cate officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Collin Speer, Rio Morrow, Jordon Magouirk, Tony Magouirk, Matthew Walters, and Shannon Luttrell. Kain Haywood served as honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott.
