The Mega Brain Inflatable Brain visited the Rector School District campuses on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 14 and 15. Students in both the high school and elementary school were able to hear from UAMS representatives Brandi Alred and Kasey Featherston (of Piggott). The purpose of the Mega Brain is to help students learn about the signs and symptoms of a stroke and to offer insight to other conditions and diseases of the brain. Students were able to take a guided tour of the outside and inside of the brain and had opportunities to ask questions about stroke signs and symptoms. UAMS offers this as part of a community outreach program and is free of charge. (Courtesy photo)
