Ronald “Ronnie” Gene Brown, age 81, of Paragould, Ark., passed away at Phil & Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born On December 7, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Virgil Brown and Cletus (Huckabay) Brown Presson of Rector. Ronnie was of the Baptist faith and a certified welder.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Virgil Brown and Cletis Presson.

Ronnie leaves behind a devoted wife of 56 years, Dorothy (Johnson) Brown of Paragould; two step-sisters: Runell Nance and Judy Townsend both of Florida, aunt Pat Martin of Rector, uncle Don (Joyce) Huckabay of Knob, and several cousins.

Visitation was held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, at Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home at Rector. Services followed at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial was at Providence Cemetery.
