Roxanna Lynn Gentry

Roxanna Lynn Gentry, 65, of Piggott, Ark., passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024.

She was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo., on November 3, 1958. Her parents were Norma Trout and Fred Sullivan.

Roxanna married Bill Gentry on July 4, 1978, and they were married 45 years, until his death on January 26, 2024.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Joplin, Mo., in October 1992. She truly enjoyed helping others to learn about her God, Jehovah, and the prospects of life under God’s Kingdom. She loved flowers of all kinds. She also enjoyed going fishing with Bill and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gentry; a brother, Timothy Sullivan; and two infant great grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter: Tahoni Monroe of Mountainburg, Ark.; one son: Cody Gentry of Piggott; one step-daughter: Karen Persicke of Michigan; five grandchildren: Michelle Chapman, Nickolas Baker, Riley Monroe, Shawn Monroe, and Waylon Monroe; four step-grandchildren: Lily Babcock, Holly Persicke, Ayden Persicke, and Emma Persicke; one great grandchild: Percival Chapmon; her parents: Norma Trout of Piggott and Fred Sullivan of Rombauer, Mo.; one brother: John Sullivan and wife Linda of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and one sister: Sheila Sullivan of Piggott, as well as many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

A joint memorial service for Roxanna and Bill has been arranged at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 500 Hwy. NN, Poplar Bluff, Mo., on Saturday, February 10, at 3 p.m.
