Sandra Jean Lentz

Sandra Jean Lentz, 75 of Marmaduke, Ark., passed away from this world on May 24, 2022 at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital. She was born in Rector, Ark., to the late Lloyd and Mary (Whitaker) Vangilder. She enjoyed her life to the fullest and loved her son and grandchildren with all her heart. She was an avid sports fan and cheered the Cardinals and Razorbacks on each game. She really just loved anything involving sports including the NASCAR races. She was a member of the Union Central Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister: Joan Thompson.
Sandra is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Michael & Christy Lentz of Marmaduke; grandchildren: Natalie Lentz and her fiancé, Ty Finch and Parker Lentz; her husband of 54 years: Jim Bob Lentz; sisters and brother-in-law: Carolyn and Bill Linam of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Leroy Thompson of Piggott, Regenia and Gary Bettis of Hot Springs, Ark., along with several nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
Visitation was held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the funeral home with Randy Brinkley and Kirk Brinkley speaking at the service.
A special thank you to the Staff of Green Acres 300 Hall, the AMMC 4th floor rehab and the physicians of St. Bernard’s for all the special care given to Sandra.
