Shirley Ann Culver

Shirley Ann Culver, 86 of Piggott, Ark., passed away March 23, 2023 at home. Mrs. Culver was born September 22, 1936 in Black Rock, Ark.

She was a pastor’s wife and a devoted mother. She loved reading, singing, playing piano, cooking, serving her church and teaching God’s Word. She was of Baptist faith. She married the love of her life Loy Culver on November 22, 1956, he survives.

Survivors include husband Loy Culver of Piggott; daughter Jacqueline (Chuck) Barnard of Burleson, Tex.; son Mike (Sue) Culver of Carrollton, Tex.; brothers: Jimmy Rowland of Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Billy Rowland of Missouri; grandchildren: Joshua Barnard of Burleson, Tex., Kyle Barnard of Burleson, Tex., Michael Barnard of Pflugerville, Tex., Skyler Barnard of Burleson, Tex., Emily Bateman of Paragould, Ark., and Taylor Beckett of Burleson, Tex., Shirley Ann Culver and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Grace Rowland, brother Charles Lester, Jr. sisters: Lois Baker, Grace Westerfield, Clara Burress, and Norma Gilmore Visitation was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023 at New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard. Funeral services followed at 3 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Barnard, Bro. Matthew Collier, and Don Settles officiating. Burial followed the services in Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, Ark.
