Stella B Collier

Stella B Collier went to the Lord on January 1, 2024. Her second home is in Beebe, Ark. There she was close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her lifelong home was in Rector, Ark. She was a life-long Christian and member of the Leonard and Rector First United Methodist Church. She was a retired school teacher from Greenway Public Schools and was also retired from Russell Oil Company. She was an avid reader and a member of the Methodist Women’s Bible Study. She loved her hometown. She loved the Labor Day Picnic. She enjoyed being with her family. She especially loved her niece Sandra Mays and cousin Mary Lou Collier. She thought of Mary Lou as a sister and best friend.
Stella B Collier was born December 21, 1936, in the farming community of Braggadocio, Mo., in the Missouri bootheel between Kennett and Caruthersville to Robert and Lottie (Lowe) Householder and her dog-child: Molly.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Allan Gene Collier; her parents: Robert and Lottie Householder; her siblings: Jeff Householder and Betty Bracken; brother in-law and sister-in law: Vernon and Hazel Mays and her father in-law and mother in-law: Dewey and Kate Collier.
She is survived by her sons: Dennis Allan Collier and wife Connie of Beebe, Ark., and David Lynn Collier of Jonesboro, Ark.; her brothers: Robert “Bobby” Householder and his wife Linda of Jonesboro, Ark., Floyd Householder and wife Mickie of Trumann, Ark.; grandchildren: Jennifer and Chris Masses, Garrett Markham Collier and Hayden Ellis; great-grandchildren: Stella Kate Massey, Wallace Ruth Massey and Ada Grace Massey.
Visitation was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with the services at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jonathon Bevil officiating. Interment was at the Woodland Heights Cemetery.
