Teresa Jill (McCluskey) Davidson

Teresa Jill (McCluskey) Davidson was born on September 1, 1961, in Kennett, Missouri, to James and Joanne McCluskey. She was the devoted mother of Nikki Blue, Tyler Davidson, and Caitlin Dollins, and a proud Nana to Shelby Watson, Blasen, Addilynn, and Emerson Dollins.
Jill was raised in a large and loving family alongside her siblings-Jimmy, Tom, Tim, Matt, Mark, and Miles McCluskey-as well as a younger sister. From an early age, she had a heart that beat for others-always giving, always serving, always thinking of someone else first.
In her younger years, she moved frequently, living in Kansas City, Missouri; Fort Smith; Marmaduke; and Rector before finally settling in Piggott, which she lovingly called home. Life wasn’t always easy for Jill, but she faced every challenge with hard work, grace, and a positive attitude. Her family meant everything to her, and the relationships she built were the foundation of her life.
Jill didn’t need much to be happy-just the basics and a little quiet time at home. She loved baking cookies and cakes, always trying out new recipes and delivering treats to her children. Nature brought her peace, especially visits to the creek, and she had a unique love for collecting rocks-not for their rarity, but simply because they made her happy. Nearly everything in her home had a date and a note, whether it was a card, a gift, or even a rock. If you picked up anything in her house, you were sure to find a date and a name carefully written somewhere on it.
Every Christmas, each family member received a dated ornament, a tradition we’ll always hold dear. If you went anywhere with her, you could bet she’d offer to stop and pick up a bucket of chicken or something to eatbecause she believed no one should go hungry, and food was a gift anyone could use and appreciate.
Jill was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back-even to a stranger. She was generous beyond measure. Though she was often too hard on herself, she always tried to do right by others and was truly one of the kindest souls you could ever meet. We only hope she truly knew just how loved she was and how deeply she touched the lives around her. Her absence leaves a hollow space that cannot be filled.
She preferred takeout and a movie over a night out, and her movie tastes were as varied as her personality- scary movies, Law and Order, Seinfeld, Project Runway, true crime, Disney classics, or whatever random film caught her attention. Her DVD collection was filled with favorites like Shirley Temple movies, Pillow Talk, It’s a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, and many, many more.
Jill loved her job as Deputy Treasurer at the Clay County Courthouse and spoke often about how happy and content she was, surrounded by people she respected and cared for deeply.
She is survived by her children: Nikki and husband Shannon Blue, Tyler Davidson, and Caitlin and husband Craig Dollins; grandchildren: Shelby and husband Parker Watson, Blasen Dollins, Addilynn Dollins, and Emerson Dollins; her brothers: Jimmy McCluskey, Tom McCluskey, Tim and wife Della McCluskey, Matt and wife Lorna McCluskey, Mark and wife Brenda McCluskey, and Miles and wife Sham McCluskey; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne McCluskey, and her beloved aunt and uncle, Judy and Kenny Parker.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 16, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church in Pollard with Tim McCluskey officiating. Burial followed in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott. Pallbearers were Craig Dollins, Shannon Blue, Parker Watson, Blasen Dollins, Hayden McCluskey, and Mason McCluskey. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
