The calmer twin sister is how Destiny Yancey would like to be remembered. Her future plans include attending Arkansas State University to obtain her degree in computer science. She is the daughter of Miranda and Jimmy Yancey. Destiny was in the band and art club. She frequently volunteered at the Rector Food Pantry and personal care ministry. She was chosen as female senior class favorite, received the most improved marcher award, was part of the Cougar Pride program and received a gold level career readiness certificate. Destiny’s favorite school memory is during one of the last days of band camp one year, the band was playing hide-n-seek and Mr. Mullen was seeking. She and the other band kids were constantly moving around so Mr. Mullen wouldn’t find them. It was to the point that he got in his car and drove to places around the elementary and high school campuses where she and the band kids would hide.
