Vada A. (Grissom) Hardin

Vada A. (Grissom) Hardin, 75, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away October 5, 2024, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Missouri.

She was born on December 15, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Elbert and Georgie (Parrish) Grissom.

Vada was united in marriage to Robert Roy Hardin on June 5, 1964, and to this union three children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Hardin; sister, Jo Ann Couch; brother, Marvin Grissom, and grandson, Spencer Hardin.

After raising her children, Vada traveled all over the country as a pipe liner’s wife, where she enjoyed seeing the sights and shopping. Although she loved traveling, her family was her home. She loved being surrounded by her kids and grandchildren.

Vada is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Justin) Williams of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two sons, Kevin Hardin of Piggott, Arkansas, and Keith Hardin of Paragould, Arkansas; grandchildren, Shelby (Anthony) Vezeau, Malorey Hardin, Bryar Hardin, and Jade Williams; great-grandchildren, Declan Vezeau, Barrett Vezeau, Maelynn Grace Vezeau, Olivia Spence Williams, and Hadley Kate Patterson, brothers, Donald (Anna Sue) Grissom, Kenneth (Kathy) Grissom, and Clovis (Diane) Grissom; sisters, Ramey (Carroll) Shipman and Barbara (Devon) Harris; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Carlos Bland officiating and Jack Cole assisting. Burial was in Mars Hill Cemetery near Crockett, Arkansas. Pallbearers were Justin Williams, Bryar Hardin, Anthony Vezeau, Declan Vezeau, Norman Collins, and Richard Phillips. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
