William Owens, 64, of Nimmons, Ark., passed away August 4, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.

He was born on October 27, 1957, in Nimmons, and was the son of the late LJ Owens and Pearl Moss Owens.

William was united in marriage to Shelley Owens on November 30, 2005.

William is survived by his wife Shelley Owens of Nimmons; children: Lee Owens of Rector, Laura (Bobby) Owens of Kennett, Moo., Dottie Csuka of Ocala, Fla., Katie (Rickey) Stanley of Rector, Shaun (Brittany) Laxton of Marmaduke, and Joni Tyler of Rector; grandkids: Brandon, LJ, Charlene, Austin, Cole, Larry, Lily, Rayne, Ashlee, Sidney, Sophia, Jake, Lexi, Kyleigh, McKenna, Stetson, Aubrey, Kinsley, Jaydyn, Patience, and Asher; two greatgrandkids: Emberlynn and Jaxx; siblings: Sherrell Owens and wife Kathy, Geneva Estes of Rector, Linda Massey and husband Bill of Piggott, Nadine Johnson and husband Johnny of Prestonburg, Kentucky, and Virginia Beltran and husband Fidel of San Antonio, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, with Loran Johnson officiating. William will be buried in Hardin Cemetery next to his best friend and cousin, Bimbo (Alvin) Owens near Crockett. Pallbearers will be Brandon Owens, LJ Owens, Shaun Laxton, Timmy Owens, Lee Owens, and Bobby Biggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Stanley and Tommy Stokes. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements. William Owens
