All Black River Technical College (BRTC) campuses will be closed on Monday, April 8. All online classes will meet as normal.

Applications are now being accepted for AgDiscovery, a residential career and science exploration program for teens, Dr. Christopher C. Mathis Jr., AgDiscovery program director, said. The program is scheduled for June 821 at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) campus. April 5 is the application deadline.
A Three-on-Three basketball tournament will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 9 a.m. at the Piggott High School gymnasium with the proceeds to go to Project Prom.
Logan and Haven Miller of Rector are excited to announce the arrival of their son, Maverick David Miller. He was born at 3:01 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. He weighed in at 6 pounds and 12 ounces on arrival, and was 19.75 inches long.

Piggott’s own Brent Sanders was recently honored with the Spotlight Award from Brightspeed. This will be Sanders 24th year of being employed by the company (he started when it was CenturyTel).
