BRTC to host Blood Drive

Black River Technical College (BRTC) will host a Red Cross Blood Drive, sponsored by KAIT8, from 12 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, in the Randolph County Development Center, located at 1410 Hwy. 304 East on the Pocahontas campus.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Original Recipe Yield 40 cookies Ingredients 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons milk 40 miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped Directions Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda; set aside.

Jackson Hill named to President’s List

SENATOBIA, MS - Jackson Hill of Rector has been recognized as one of the top tier students at Northwest Mississippi Community College by earning a place on the President’s List for academic work in the Fall 2023 semester. The President’s list recognizes those students who earn a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or higher. This semester Jackson is among one of over 800 outstanding fulltime students to be recognized for their work.
