RECTOR SENIOR PLAYERS

Rector Cougars will suit up sixteen stalwart young men in Cougar blue to build on successes of the past years and gain momentum going into conference schedule. According to new head coach Robert Dorman who has been integral with the program for many years, “We have good size on the line with several returning starters and many sophomores moving up from the championship Junior High squad.” He continued, “We are a bigger group in physical size and we are pretty fast, certainly strong.

A fundraising event will be held at Sugar Creek Country in Piggott, hosted by the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center, in conjunction with a reading retreat. Tickets are available for the club reception, featuring special guest Tim Huffman, an esteemed outdoor writer with 37 years of experience and native of Piggott.

Clinton Haley returns for his second year as head coach for the Piggott Mohawks. He previously served as assistant to the senior high team for two years and is in his tenth year of coaching.

The Junior High Cougar squad is solid in numbers, suiting up nineteen players who are ready to go “back to back,” meaning they want to repeat as district champions. Coach Robert Dorman also serves as junior high coach, as he did for the 2024 season.
