Art show planned in Rector Oct. 5
On Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m., supporters of the arts in the area may drop in at The Noles Social for a chance to view art from local artists. Sponsored by Rector Chamber of Commerce and with refreshments catered by Caffeinated Cow and Big Time Pizza and Bakery, nine locals who ooze creativity will have their work on display.
Rector Cougar 4-H Club excels at Clay County Fair
The week of Sept. 9 through 13 was a busy and exciting one for the Rector Cougar 4-H Club as members participated in the Clay County Fair. From floats and educational booths to crafts and livestock shows, Cougar members showcased their hard work, creativity, and dedication — and they brought home an impressive lineup of awards.

Fall city wide yard sale set Oct. 4 in Piggott
Piggott is gearing up for its annual fall city wide yard sale set for Saturday, Oct. 4. The Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce reminds local residents sales held that day will not be required to purchase a permit from the city. Locations will also be featured on a list, which will be available from the Chamber of Commerce. Those wanting to be added to the list or for additional information may call the chamber office in the depot building at 870598-3167 or email at chamberpg@yahoo.com.

Piggott Parks and Recreation held its 2025 Family Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Poetry retreat planned at Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum
The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center (HPMEC) will host a poetry workshop on Saturday, Nov. 8. The museum is located at 1913 Museum Row in Piggott.
